“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your Name, O Most High; to declare Your steadfast love in the morning, and Your faithfulness by night,” (Psalm 92:1-2)

I don’t know how much we think about the goodness of God when a difficult day awaits us. I don’t know how much we choose to praise Him when our day turns out worse rather than better. I don’t know how much we think about God’s love and faithfulness when we feel hopeless about a situation. But one thing we can learn from this Psalm is that God doesn’t change. In the good and bad days, His love for us stays the same. And if today we encountered disappointment and we couldn’t see God’s hand at work, He is still a faithful God. He did great things in the past and He is able to do great things again.

And I want to challenge you, and myself, to choose to look at who God is, despite what each day brings or how it turns out. To shift our gaze to Him. And then to declare, or talk about, God’s steadfast love in the morning and His faithfulness when night comes. To thank Him and praise Him for who He is and all He has done. Though some days will be harder than others, God is still good. He is a faithful God and His love does not change.
